do they have different frames of animation?

Yes they are fully animated. 

the main inclusion says just idle and hurt animation. I'd be interested to know if they have any attack or movement directions.

Only one enemy in this pack faces four directions so far and that is the Mini Skeleton - Front, Side, Back, Hurt(Front) 

The other enemies face forward or to the side and are meant to be floating / flying enemies and look good in game without the need of back or side sprites. 

Aether Moth - Idle, FX, Hurt

Big Jellyfish - Idle, Hurt

Deep Moth - Idle, FX, Hurt

Eyebat - Idle, Hurt

Fishman - Enter, Exit, Hurt, Throw (Attack), Pufferfish (Projectile)

Float - Idle, Hurt

Ghost - Idle, Hurt

Honoo Bird - Idle, Hurt

Jellyfish - Idle, Hurt

Lich - Idle, Hurt, Jar Animation

Mini Mage - Idle, Hurt

Puppet Mage - Idle, Hurt, Attack

My free slime pack has enemies of both types. The slimes face four directions and the mushroom enemy does not. If you want a free example. 

Are 16 or 32 bits?

They are designed to be 8bit the other assets in the pack are 16bit. The environment is more detailed than any moving object or entity to give a different visual style compared to other similar asset packs. I plan to release a Gameboy Compatible update for every pack in the near future.
